[NOTE: The seeing was great tonight. Cool, calm. Setup was focuser/f/3.3 reducer/camera. Temp about 39 degrees. Good flats! -GW]

NGC2859, a galaxy in Leo Minor, magnitude 10.9, dimensions 4'.5 x 4'.0, surface brightness is 12.4 mag/sq arcmin. This image is a composite created from 25 exposures totaling 49 minutes, taken between 2:16 and 3:10 a.m. the morning of the 1st. Images were taken using the f/3.3 focal reducer. Images were processed in AstroArt with dark frame removal, flat frames and compositing. The image was moved into MaxIm for the final contrast stretch. The overexposed star toward the right is magnitude 7.18.

NGC1931, a cluster associated with nebulosity in Auriga, magnitude 11.3, diamter 3'.0. This image is a composite created from 34 exposures totaling 68 minutes, taken between 3:18 and 4:37 a.m. the morning of the 1st. Images were taken using the f/3.3 focal reducer. Images were processed in AstroArt with dark frame removal, flat frames and compositing. The image was moved into MaxIm for the final contrast stretch. Here is a lower contrast version of this image that shows more detail at the core of the nebulosity.

NGC2841, a spiral galaxy in Ursa Major, magnitude 9.2, dimensions 7'.4 x 3'.5, surface brightness is 13.4 mag/sq arcmin. This image is a composite created from 23 exposures totaling 46 minutes, taken between 4:44 and 5:33 a.m. the morning of the 1st. Images were taken using the f/3.3 focal reducer. Images were processed in AstroArt with dark frame removal, flat frames and compositing. The image was moved into MaxIm for Digital Development (Kernel, low-pass) and the final contrast stretch.
